Algorithm

It denotes a set of rules used by search engines to rank results for user queries. The search engine index contains information which is used by the search engine to arrive at rankings. Every search engine has it’s own unique algorithm which is kept as a closely guarded secret and never let out because of risks such as competitors and spammers.
